TheNumbersHub Terms of Use
Effective October 3, 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and TheNumbersHub (“TheNumbersHub,” “we,” “us”) governing your access to and use of our bookkeeping and accounting software and related services (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you are using the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you have authority to bind that business, and “you” refers to that business.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is not available to anyone located in, or who is a resident or national of, a country or region subject to U.S. embargo, or who is listed on any U.S. government restricted- or denied-party list.
3. Description of Service
TheNumbersHub provides double-entry bookkeeping, invoicing, bill management, bank-feed categorization, and financial reporting tools. The Service may integrate with third-party providers (including banking-data and payment providers) to deliver certain features; those integrations are also governed by the applicable third party's own terms.
4. Accounts and Registration
You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information and keep it up to date. You are responsible for safeguarding your login credentials and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly at the contact in Section 18 if you suspect unauthorized access.
5. Fees, Billing, and Taxes
Subscription fees are charged in advance on the billing cycle you select. We will give you at least 30 days' notice before any fee increase takes effect; continued use after that date constitutes acceptance. Payments are non-refundable except as required by law or expressly stated otherwise. You are responsible for all applicable taxes other than taxes on our net income. If payment fails, we may suspend your access until payment is received.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract the source code of the Service, except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Use the Service to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models without our prior written authorization.
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service, including by introducing malware or attempting unauthorized access.
- Scrape, resell, sublicense, or provide unauthorized third parties access to the Service.
- Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
We may suspend or terminate access for conduct that we reasonably believe violates this Section.
7. Your Content and Data Ownership
You retain all ownership rights in the financial records, invoices, bills, and other data you submit to the Service (“Your Content”). You grant TheNumbersHub a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, process, transmit, and display Your Content solely to provide and improve the Service. We may generate and use de-identified, aggregated data derived from Your Content for analytics and product improvement, provided it does not identify you. We do not sell Your Content or your personal information.
8. Intellectual Property
TheNumbersHub and its licensors retain all right, title, and interest in the Service, including its software, design, and trademarks, except for Your Content. Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for your internal business purposes. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the Service.
9. Third-Party Services and Integrations
The Service integrates with third-party providers, including banking-data aggregation (currently Plaid) and payment processing (currently Stripe). Your use of those integrations is also subject to the applicable third party's terms and privacy policy. We are not responsible for the acts, omissions, or availability of third-party services, and linking or connecting such a service is at your own discretion and risk.
10. Termination
You may cancel your account at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period, with no refund for the remaining period. We may suspend or terminate your access immediately for a material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or conduct that creates legal or security risk, and otherwise with 30 days' notice. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends, and we will make your data available for export for a reasonable period (at least 30 days) before deletion, except where we are required to retain it longer by law.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE,” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE, OR THAT IT CONSTITUTES PROFESSIONAL ACCOUNTING, TAX, OR LEGAL ADVICE. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING YOUR OWN FINANCIAL RECORDS AND REPORTS FOR ACCURACY, AND FOR CONSULTING A QUALIFIED PROFESSIONAL WHERE APPROPRIATE.
12. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THENUMBERSHUB'S TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE FEES YOU PAID TO THENUMBERSHUB IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM. NEITHER PARTY WILL BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR LOST PROFITS OR LOST DATA, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THESE LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THEM MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold TheNumbersHub harmless from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of the Service, Your Content, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.
14. Dispute Resolution and Arbitration
Before filing a claim, you agree to contact us at the address in Section 18 and attempt in good faith to resolve the dispute informally for at least 30 days. If unresolved, any dispute will be settled by binding arbitration on an individual basis, except that either party may instead bring a qualifying claim in small claims court. You and TheNumbersHub each waive the right to a jury trial and to participate in a class, collective, or representative action. This arbitration provision is governed by the Federal Arbitration Act.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles, except where the Federal Arbitration Act applies to Section 14.
16. Changes to the Service and These Terms
We may modify these Terms or the Service at any time. We will provide notice of material changes (such as email or an in-app notice) at least 30 days before they take effect; continued use after that date constitutes acceptance. We may also discontinue or modify features of the Service, and will provide reasonable notice where practicable.
17. General Provisions
If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets. These Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, constitute the entire agreement between you and TheNumbersHub regarding the Service. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of our right to do so later.
